Twenty Wishes

What do you want most in the world?

What Anne Marie Roche wants is to find happiness again.

At thirty-eight, she’s childless, a recent widow, alone.

She owns a successful bookstore on Seattle’s Blossom Street, but despite her accomplishment, there’s a feeling of emptiness.

On Valentine’s Day, Anne Marie and several other widows get together to celebrate…hope.

They each begin a list of twenty wishes-things they always wanted to do but never did.

Anne Marie‘s list includes learning to knit, falling in love again, doing good for someone else.

When she volunteers at a local school, an eight-year-old girl named Ellen enters her life.

It’s a relationship that became far involving – and far more important – than Anne Marie had ever imagined.

As Ellen helps Anne Marie complete her list of twenty wishes, they both learn that wishes can come true… but not necessarily in the way you expect.

My Review

What do you think about love?

I thought love is satisfaction and consideration.

One day, when I  watching some Korean talk show they were talking about love and one singer said “If you want to love someone, you should love yourself first when that love overflows then you can love someone.

That means are you are ready to share your love.

You will be always confident in your feelings.

That’s why Anne Marie and her friends started to make twenty wishes.

You don’t need to wait until New Year, though.

Knitting is a lot like life…
Dropped stitches and all!

With summer on the way.

Lydia Goetz knows it’s the perfect time to launch her latest knitting class, Knit to Quit.

It’s just the thing for those who want to quit something – or someone.

Unhappy Phoebe joins to try and get over her unfaithful ex-fiance: Alix wants to have a baby and is desperate to quit smoking – could knitting help her beat the cravings? And Bryan needs a way to deal with all the stress of running his family business.

Sometimes life can be as complicated as a knitting pattern – but Lydia knows that when life gets difficult and stitches are snarled, friends will always be there to help.

My Review

This world has all different kinds of mothers.

Some people love their foster mother or stepmother like their own mother.

Some people hate their own mother or treat her like a stranger.

And some mothers don’t love their own children.

But some mothers love to adopt children or stepchildren.

However, I can say most mothers are amazing and respectful.

Lydia and her husband Brad discussed adopting and were then approved for adoption.

One night she got a call from an adoption agency saying Casey needs to stay 2 nights somewhere before moving to another foster home however, 2 nights became 2 weeks and then a month.

Can she heal this twelve-year-old’s broken heart too?

If your heart is strong and confident enough for yourself I’m sure you’re ready to love anybody.

Even refusing your love doesn’t stop showing your love. One day, they’ll accept your love.

Alix started smoking again after her wedding.

At the same time, she and Jordan were planing to make a family.

When you need or want to do something,  you should give up or push away something else for another time.

If you are being greedy you could lose both or one thing could overpower the other.

It’s how to live their own life, isn’t it?

But don’t think you are losing the other choice you can always come back to it another time.

Just make the best choice for you now.

Phoebe wishes she could stop loving her fiance.

He is addicted to hooking up with lots of strange women.

Sometimes you can’t see the truth and real faces to protect your feelings but when you open the blind you will get heartache and disappointment, however, you can see the real faces there and the truth.

And do not stop loving because of bad men.

Anytime, anywhere you can find the right man if you are ready to love yourself again.

Don’t blame yourself when you lose love.

Those times will make you see real men who care about you and are honest, make you smile and love you more than yourself.

When I read Debbie’s books.

I can feel it and imagine it in so many different ways.

That’s why I love her books so much.

And I didn’t know I was going to love knitting so much.

I wish sometime in the future, I will go to a knitting class and meet someone like Lydia and her friends.
